We deserved something from that game. I expected a defeat, and Villa are incredibly hard to beat at home. But we played well and their goal came from a shot from distance when we were effectively down to 10 as Gomes was down. The officiating was fine, for a change. We’re going down, but at least today we showed fight and better organisation.

And the Facebook comments are flooded with people whose ties to the club are literally Munetsi laughing at Wolves for the loss without him.
Honestly, it was nice retaining some possession 🤷♂️

Positives:
* The fullbacks looked good in the first half.
* Defense in general was composed in the first half.
* JSL looked more like he did last season, unlucky to not score.
* Bellegarde looks like he genuinely wants to win, only player taking risks.
* Edwards is at least giving academy players a chance.
Negatives:
* Not creating nearly enough going forward, 1 shot in the first 35 minutes of the second half.
* Every time the team concedes they lose all confidence and give up more chances right away.
* Joao Gomes can’t pass.
* Arias plays for the opposing team every game. Absolutely tragic player.
* Kavanaugh is a massive cunt. No review for the stamp on Joao Gomes before the Villa goal, but gives a review for the Arias challenge. Not giving yellows for obivius tactical fouls by Villa seconds half, meanwhile Mosquera gets a yellow for trying to get Konsa to stop grabbing him.
* No luck at all, conceded a screamer, meanwhile Martinez makes a couple of great saves to deny a Wolves goal.

Just no quality in the side is there….
We had better shape and was plucky but we can never make the most of briefly being on top because of said lack of quality.
No coincidence for me that we looked better when Hwang and Munetsi aren’t on the pitch being possession black holes

Shi said it was a good window lmao. We are going to challenge Derby’s record low points and we are not coming back up. We are a poor club because our owners are losers. As Leicester and others struggle to rebound, we are completely doomed. But yeah let’s continue to protect that twat Shi.
This sides best players struggle to pass. I mean what more needs to be said? Every player is either slow, short, or unfit. Add that to their lack of technical ability and surprise, what a good window. How many more until a win Shi?

Only 1-0, Wolves in the ascendance!

Better effort but unfortunately just shows where we are as a squad. The gulf in quality between Joao and Andre compared to Villa’s midfield is stark – and they’re our best players! What hope do we have

Reminds me a lot of the games under Gary at the start of last season. We look better lots of the game then lose to a screamer and bad reffing
Things are looking better though – this is a good villa squad in form at the moment

In isolation 1-0 loss at Villa park isn’t bad – where their keeper’s pulled off 4 class saves, 1 unfortunate disallowed goal, questionable refereeing decisions and their only “quality” chance was the worldy they scored (whilst we were reduced to 10 men for a very similar foul as to what the game was stopped for on the Arias check. I’m still baffled as VAR shouldn’t be getting involved in free kicks/yellow cards so the decision should be no dangerous foul and play restarts with a drop ball to us as we had possession)
In the grander scheme of things, this was a real missed opportunity to get our first win. The longer the wait goes on, the more fucked we are. Yeh we’ve improved under Rob but I think we’re too far cut adrift now.
In summary, we’re fucked

My bones were wrong
At least we tried
We’re improving but still suck
