I’d go for either Dede, Piszczek or Rosicky. But i dont know much of bvb history before 2000.

For me its Schmelzer. He didn‘t had the technique or the athleticism for a top player but he had a top player career despite that. And people were dunkin on him for his bad crosses. But they were just jealous because of his long blond beautiful hair.

Felipe Santana. Always stood in the Shadow of subotic and Hummels, but also always delivered when he was needed.
And with His Goal against Malaga he gave us one of the most memorable moments in Club History

easy Großkreutz. He was a brilliant player with a great game sense, but everyone talks about him as if he swindled his way into the team.

Shinji. We bought him for like 300k from the j league…

Großkreutz. Played every position in the book, including goalkeeper. Not perfect on any, best on 6; but you just felt that guy was prepared to die for the club, the fans, his fellow men on the pitch and every point you could earn. And I loved that undereducated punk for it

a good shout would also be secretly world-class Stefan Klos. Ahead of his time, very modern keeper
