  1. Alexi, I hope next year you guys from the 1994 team can get together for a 30 year reunion and hopefully there will be a show with all you guys there together. You all were a special team with pioneer spirit and it would be nice to see that.

  2. Sorry for the long post below… it takes me no time to write. Well – I liked the Pele stories. One of my earliest ever memories, is when I was super young and watching Sesame Street, and it was my moms that said "Hey it's Pele" when he was on. I don't even remember what he did, but I remember that… which is oddly a special memory to me about my mother. I might've been no older than 2 or 3… literally my oldest memory.

For Berhalter, Reyna… it's unfortunate. If I'm being honest… I just can't relate. For her to do what she did, contacting USSF… she did it because she thought she COULD. It's an unbelievable amount of privilege and entitlement. It simply shouldn't exist. So the USSF has a problem there and a clear conflict. I don't know any of these people personally and yeah I get being upset but what a move and blindside for Berhalter's wife and kids. On the other end of all this, Berhalter there really shouldn't be a way back. The problem is I didn't think he should come back as I disagree with 2 cycle US managers (Arena… not so good 2006. Bradley… politics but also some issues post 2010. Klinsmann… you know that story.). Berhalter also, for me, was ok but you need shoot for a better manager.

I think the case is there based on winning Gold Cup, etc. – but there were issues and if I'm being honest… he needs more experience IMHO. And what really is bad, with this whole Reyna situation, is his naivety. Just my .02. I get what Mosse said, but did he NEED to tell the player this? It's different – it's representing your country at the World Cup. Why not say: "Hey, congratulations on being on this team. You deserve this honor and we're excited you're with us. With that said, I don't know the full scope of everyone's roles yet – however I'm counting on you to BE READY when you're number is called." Seems simple enough. And then the naivety to speak 'off the record' to people that may not be close friends, etc… after the World Cup. So look, we all make mistakes. And I honestly think Berhalter has the potential to be an incredible coach. He's shown he can learn from stuff and improve his tactics. And he'll learn from this and move on. I do wish the best for all parties involved and hope that they learn and move forward.

  3. Excellent assessment Dortmund is very concerned moving forward 👈🙄 we shall see Gio mental capacity to handle heckling from opposite teams 👈. If he could not take ggg not playing him 🎭

  4. Per Wikipedia…Piazza was drafted by the Dodgers in the 1988 MLB draft as a favor from Tommy Lasorda ( Piazza's Godfather) to Piazza's father. He was the last player selected and signed in his draft class to play in the Major Leagues. Initially a first baseman, Piazza converted to catcher in the minor leagues at Lasorda's suggestion to improve his chances of being promoted. He made his major league debut in 1992…
