It was a night to remember for Enzo Maresca’s young side, who capitalised on Ajax’s early red card to deliver one of the most emphatic wins of the season so far.
The match burst into life when Ajax captain Kenneth Taylor was sent off in the 17th minute for a high tackle – and Marc Guiu, just 19 years old, punished the visitors immediately, firing Chelsea ahead within seconds.
Estevao, the 18-year-old Brazilian prodigy, doubled the advantage from the penalty spot just before half-time, showing calm beyond his years to make it 2-0.
Moments after the restart, another teenager – Tyrique George, 19 – made it three, completing a remarkable hat-trick of goals from Chelsea’s youth stars inside 50 minutes.
