That Tuesday, December 27th, Manchester United beat Nottingham Forest 3-0 on the return of the English Premier League.

Despite this, the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo still remains a theme at United.
In the post-match interview, midfielder Christian Eriksen said that the Portuguese star is in the past.

“I must say that we are sad that Ronaldo is not with us, his legacy and his name at this club are special. For me it was good to have the opportunity to play with him”, began the Dane.
“But football continues. After the game, people forget what happened before and he is not here now”, he concluded.

With the victory, Manchester United is in fifth place, with 29 points, one less than fourth-placed Tottenham, first within the qualification zone for the next Champions League.

“We are in a good phase. The beginning of the season was different, compared to what is happening now, football is different. In some games we didn’t manage to score, but I think we’re growing. I feel it in the group. I feel the system is working, which is something we’ve always believed in. The atmosphere is good,” said Eriksen.
