The arguments of him being around elite environments in FCB and Germany are similar to the arguments made in favour of Ancelotti jnr… and look how he’s gone in Brazil.
Sure, Röhl kept the bin fire of wednesday up and did a lot with no resources. Were Wednesday fans protesting every game and booing them after last minute winners? Expectations on wednesday nowhere near those on rangers. FCB are almost always guaranteed to win all their games since they have a superstar team. None of his previous roles are comparable to Rangers.
I’m sure he’s a nice guy and technically sound, probably a good coach. Is he going to be able to command that dressing room? Is he going to be able to deal with the scottish press? Can he go and get the away wins against 11 behind the ball in some windy water logged park? Can he deal with a livid rangers fanbase?
