World Cup WIN with Argentina EXCEEDING Lautaro Martinez EXPECTATIONS.
Argentina striker Lautaro Martinez has been reflecting on the ‘unique emotions’ of becoming a World Cup winner ahead of his return to action in Serie A with Inter.
He says the victory has surpassed his expectations.
Martinez also picked his three most memorable moments from the tournament – as well as the penalty shootout in the final, he also spoke about their response to disappointment after the defeat against Saudi Arabia and letting their 2-0 lead go against the Netherlands before recovering to go through.
The 25-year-old is expected to be involved in Inter’s Wednesday Serie A game with Napoli, having missed their win against Sassuolo.
