      I think Leeds will get transfer offers for Tyler Adams and maybe Aaronson in January. Especially if they have a good World Cup. Teams like Aston Villa, Everton, Juventus would love to have Tyler Adams.

      Are you speculating about Chris Richards or is it confirmed by a source? I can't find anything. With 26 players I would bring him even if he isn't fully fit for the first game.

      Filippo, with respect to Musah — he is a locked in starter not because he is amazing, but because he is the only player in our team who can progress the ball from defense to attack. Weston is a progressive receiver not a progressive passer, and Adams isn't exactly Pirlo back there. We missed him so badly against Japan and Saudi Arabia. It is sad that the US hasn't been able to develop anyone else with Musah's profile. So I must disagree — I think he is our most important player. But that is scary!

      Word on the street is that Brek Shea is a dual national & being called into Brazilโ€™s team for the WC. Heโ€™s going to be like a โ€œbreak in case of emergencyโ€ super sub.

      Filippo, two things. Jesse does adapt based on what happens in the game. He did it with Bournemouth by switching to a 4-3-3 in the 2nd half which, although it left Tyler as the solo 6 — and we all know how problematic that is having watched Tyler in the USMNT kit — Bournemouth was simply not strong enough in the midfield to put Tyler under too much pressure.

      What Jesse needs right now is a quality center back and left back and then he can play the system the vast majority of the game. For the left back, they are likely to sign Kai Wagner and they are also looking at Raphael Guerreiro, who is out of contract at Dortmund at the end of the season, and talks to re-sign are reportedly going nowhere. Meanwhile, transfer market has his value more or less cut in half from $40mill to $20mill. It would be great for Leeds to get a true 9, or even better, get Bamford healthy and in form, because he knows how the play the 9, but they can play without one, or without an experienced one, given the wealth of young attacking talent they have.

      Jesse did do a bit of a gamble in getting the system in place, and getting the players to begin to implement it, even though the team, as you note, is not complete enough to play it consistently; (I think his center backs would be bad in ANY system). The gamble has paid off, given the last two wins, but only if they can shore up the defense in the next window. Two signings in January on defense will help hugely, and getting a third signing as a 9 will complete the process, absent depth. All of the signings Jesse and Orta have done have been great; the problem is the old regime.. Things COULD go a lot quicker than two transfer windows. If so, the summer is the time to create DEEP depth.

      Not sure Jesse deserves too much blame, our centre backs are old and lack pace, and our main goal scorer has got ZERO goals this season. We should be 6 points further up the table just with Bamford putting away a few goals and that's safely in top 10. Thankfully the U23s are stepping up now, Summerville 3 in 3, Gnonto looking like an absolute steal at 3.5mil or whatever he cost. This January window is key, striker and left back/ centre back desperately needed and I think most of our problems are sorted.

      If Musah isn't a starter, Pulisic isn't either. They're in exactly the same spot, for me. Exceptionally talented and fill a large hole at their best but unproven when it matters most.
