Star names Jack Grealish, Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden have all missed out on selection for England’s October internationals.

There is also no place for Adam Wharton in Thomas Tuchel’s squad to face Wales in a friendly at Wembley on October 9 and then go to Latvia in World Cup qualifying on October 14.

Fit-again Bukayo Saka and John Stones return, with the injured Noni Madueke and Tino Livramento unavailable.

  1. Bellingham, who isn't match fit, shouldn't be the biggest headline but the media are obsessed with him which is why they couldn't shut up about him last camp. Give the guy a break!

  2. "He scored important goal in euro" this statement they are using as if for england no one scores. He was not part of Euro final , yet they made it… Jude is media poster , he is not good, he is average. player.. not great ..

  3. Wharton in, the rest yh you can see why, bellighams coming back from injury, grealish is good but a couple of assits doesnt oust another top flight player and same with phoden couple good games but hes on and off at times needs some more consistency. Happy to see star boy saka back even though you could say drop him as well as he's only just coming back from injury himself, so maybe dont rely on him.

  4. Wharton should be England's 6
He's gonna be Class! For me he is the best player in that role (instead of Rice who's a box to box CM) he's got it all – Can tackle/break up play, pass with either feet/forward/eye for a through ball, technically sound etc!
I'd love him at Liverpool ⚽🔥

  5. Considering the squad is one player smaller than last camp, I'm surprised Adam Wharton wasn't just brought along learn and be part of the further development of the system and team dynamics. Big names like Foden, Bellingham etc who might have presences that affect the team chemistry that was built last week, and not wanting to change it to see if it can be built on is understandable, especially if they won't play due to fitness, but I can't imagine Wharton would be too much of a negative presence in camp, even if he doesn't play, so why not take him to just familiarize him, unless he's not part of the the WC plans at all. Bellingham, Foden both have potential to be dropped into whatever team chemistry and dynamics that have formed by the time the WC rolls around if they've had good ends to the season, I fear Adam will be waiting till 2028 at this rate.

  6. Even when Foden has been on form for Man City he has always undelivered for England. Unfortunately alot of them have undelivered for England. Saka has been fairly consistent though for club and country but even from him one of England's best performer's we still need to see more from him for country. But especially the rest of them.
