The thing is that *he’s 100% right* that the team has a mentality problem and I really hope people don’t forget that when he’s sacked and we fix the gaping tactical problem.
Have to fix both – you will never win a league without addressing the fact that players routinely cannot be arsed and hide when the going gets tough.

Barron gets caught on his toes but fuck me that is just insane. I knew our line was high, but that is just crazy.
We are lined up halfway in our own half for a freekick 10 yards from the halfway line.
You are literally just inviting them to put the ball at the edge of our box and have a late runner. Especially mental when so many are zone marking and following the man in their zone.
There is even another simple ball beside this one from this set up. A big deep switch to the edge of our right side and a ball back across to an open man. We see this constantly at set pieces this season. Ball deep and a free header (most of the time) back across the box.
If Russell Martin has any fucking sense. He’ll be immediately removing Mike Williamson from his duties. Williamson is apparently our set piece coach.

Just remembered. Gent done almost the exact same freekick to us multiple times. Getting through 1vs1 a couple of times.
Definitely not an easily exploitable tactical issue, that multiple teams have exploited now 😄

This isn’t the first time. We’ve conceded and gave up big chances directly from the high line at free kicks a few times. Then you have the chances and red cards from the high line in open play.
First goal was a mess as well. 5 players all come short to receive and Tav throws the ball long. Once it’s intercepted, the 5 are all in the same area of the field in no mans land leaving us completely open.
It needs changed. This one way of playing hasn’t worked and the players can’t perform in it. Sack the cunt and go all in with a manager the fans can actually get behind, this is just stupidity now.
