  1. What’s so hard about just picking the best players. Every other country seems to have the hang of it. And no Sargent should not be on this team. It wouldn’t even be fair, you don’t perform you don’t make it, simple as that. Pepe should be the starter pefok should back him up.

  2. This is a stupid question. Of course there is. Everyone already point out the obvious reasons why, but this isn't even a hard question.

  3. I think Scally could be our right back in six months and Dest becomes the right winger. Sargent is our third striker and about fourth/fifth on the depth chart at wing. Assuming Reyna goes centrally.

  4. Leave it to the USMNT to have two young good players with a lot of upside in their game playing in the bundesliga day in and day out & we’re discussing if they should be called in or not, meanwhile Lleget & Roldan who aren’t even the best players in MLS are called in every camp smh

  5. Richards is a lock. Heath just can’t say it aloud cause McKenzie is his podcast buddy.

There’s a reason in a must win game they were giving Richards his first cap. He’s the best combo of passing and defending in the pool and Gregg knows it.

  6. ZARDES cannot play in the premiere league. Only an American football analyst/coach/fan will think for a second that Zardes or Dike is better than Sargent. Smdh. Please watch his game.

  7. Please listen to yourselves. You won't call up a 21yr old who plays in the best league in the world. However, we will call lleget, Arriola, roldan. As a British/Nigerian immigrant from two football crazyyyyy countries who lives and works in the US now. I think American fans, football Analysts, etc need to educate themselves about the game. Don't get me wrong i love the USMNT and I'm a huge fan of socer's growth in the US. But please believe me, some of these takes are just flat out delusional.

  8. First off, Zardes wouldn't fair well in the EPL. Possibly in Bundesliga, but that might even be a stretch.

As far as a 2-striker formation, I wouldn't utilize Sargent at this present time. Not saying he's bad, but he is definitely #5 on the depth chart. I'd rather have Pepi and Hoppe or Dike with Pefok in the running as well.

  9. We don’t have a good backup for Antonee Robinson so I’d like to check out Jonathan Gomez. He was in Mexico’s U20 camp and he said he wanted to check out the USMNT camp. I’d love to check his game out and maybe Pepi and the rest of the guys would integrate him to the system.

  10. Yall clearly didn't listen to what Heath said about Zardes in the premier league. His point was that technically he could play, but that doesn't mean he will score anything. Even so, I don't really understand the hate around Zardes. Should he be a starter? No, but he is also a consistent, known quantity among a sea of (much higher potential but still untested) young strikers. I have no problem with him being a 3rd or 4th rotational option, especially in these qualifiers that don't have limited rosters.

  11. Is there room in Gregg's tactical genius brain to play our best players? Even Sargent, who is struggling at the moment, I would take any day over Roldan, Arriola, and Zardes.

  12. Thoughts on putting Scally at RB and then have Dest as our RW? Would sure up the back line and still have Dest give us creativity and attack. I know it would be tough to put someone like Gio or Aaronson on the bench, but that’s how it is for big programs like France, Germany, etc. Sometimes great players don’t make it on the field and we have to be used to that as our pool talent increases.

  13. Why is it, if Sargent doesn’t perform, he’s off the roster but if the MLS lifers doesn’t perform, they still make the team? Scally, Richards, and Sargent all deserve to be on the team ahead of these MLS lifers that seem to always be on the roster.

  14. “Could Zardes play in the Premier League?”
    Hell no.
    “Yes.”
    Huh?
You know in order to play in the Prem, a Prem team needs to actually, you know, pay for you… You are aware of this correct? More MLS and GGG shills…

  15. Can we admit Brooks is not that good at defense? Just saw him duck away from the ball today and cost his team a goal. Reminded me of what he does with the national team as well…

  16. YES- Scally (replaces Dest, who moves to winger, and is obviously better than Bello right now… and likely better than Yedlin)

    YES- Dike

NO- Sargent (he is 6th to 8th for a position that calls in 3)

Steffen is a bigger offensive contributor than Sargent these days.

JESÚS FERREIRA is far superior to Sargent as a 2nd striker, far superior playing off Pepi, far superior getting shots on frame, and far superior at contributing to goals.

If you want to go with a 2nd Striker, Sargent is at the back of the line.

  17. Pefok scored in champions league and cant even get called up cuz Gregg is an idiot not because of our program strength, explain Zardes😂😂😂

  18. We all know Josh Sargent just doesn't have it right now.
Maybe he develops eventually but it's a no for me.
Don't give me excuses he on a bad club.
He made that move so that's on him.
