Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola faced the media on Tuesday afternoon ahead of Wednesday’s EFL Cup third round match against Huddersfield Town.
The 54-year-old admitted that he does now know what the future holds for goalkeeper James Trafford following the arrival or Gianluigi Donnarumma but conceded that the Englishman will play some minutes at the Italian’s understudy.
Guardiola also appeared to leave the door open for midfielder Kalvin Phillips to make a return to first-team action. Phillips has made only 16 league appearances for City since moving to the club in 2022.
