It appears that Newcastle United have won the race to sign Australian wonderkid Garang Kuol as reported by Sky Sports News. This is a huge signing and the club have appeared to have beaten off clubs like Barcelona to his signature.
Also in the video international news, Callum Wilson and yet another injury.

Fun fact, despite having only played 3-4 hrs of professional football, Kuol does perhaps have a slim chance to be given "Auto Pass" for a work permit if he plays 70%÷ minutes and enough amount of games if Australia goes far enough in the World Cup (to be considered a season regular. Unsure what that means, but I would assume 5-6 caps could be seen as being a regular for a national team that doesn't play that many games within a 12 month period). Highly unlikely Australia will go any further than the group stage, but you never know, and it would be extra hilarious if actually Kuol was the reason Australia went all the way to the semi-finals or the final. He currently only has 1 cap (17min) for Australia (out of the 6 official games they've played since December 2021), but if I understood the new rules correctly it says he would automatically be given work permit given Australia's current FIFA ranking (39) and if he racks up enough minutes/caps.

Kuol seems to have great talent from what I've seen, it's brilliant to see the club not just building for now but for the future too.
Miggy never played right wing yesterday, he was rotating with Enciso throughout the game behind Gonzalez. Kuol will go out on loan to another European club in January, most likely Holland or Belgium.

The signing of Kuol is a massive signing. Signing wonder kids like Kuol is something the toon have massively overlooked in previous windows/season. There is only one way the toon is heading and that is UP.
