  1. Berhalter is a low class. He made public what’s supposed to be in locker room. He shamed Gio. And since when 18 y.o is not an adult and domestic abuse is not a crime? By the way, Berhalter has no quality as a coach. His brother hired him.

  2. It will be an attractive job if some players keep improving. We are hosting a World Cup with a decent squad. They have to shoot higher than Marsch. Ok if that’s the end result, but try for better

  3. Berhalter must go. His player selection was poor, favoring mediocre MLS players that were not up to the challenge over more capable European based players. Most MLS players failed miserably during the WC including one that were brought into the field before Reyna. Berhalter also tends to let personal matters interfere with player selection. And finally he was schooled by the Dutch coach. Berhalter has no business continuing with USMNT. I much rather see Reyna continue than Berhalter.

  4. If this happened to a regular person, they would not have any kind of sympathy. Since this is a man who brought the US men’s team to a round of 16 his character doesn’t get judged? This is a double standard. 🤦🏽‍♂️ I don’t think he should get judged by this though because they ended up getting married!! YEARS AGO😂

  5. US soccer needed to act after Berhalter made the comments post world cup. Now this has all happened. How is Gio Reyna, arguably one of the future stars for the team for the next 2-3 world cups, supposed to play for the man.

  6. His appointment was sus, his tenure was zzz, his crowning moment was tainted by his poor man management and subsequent betrayal of the locker room and that all of this about his past comes out makes me question his character, judgment and ability to do the job. We need to clean house at USMNT, starting with the coach and the parent involvement

  7. Gio's parents fucked up. Just because your son didn't play during the World Cup and the coach should have managed this situation better. Don't use emotion when making a decision

  8. Let’s get a few things straight. Greg is no longer the USMNT coach. He’s out. Done. His contact expired on December 31. The question is whether US Soccer will rehire him. I hope not. He was the wrong coach three years ago. And he’s still wrong.

Regardless of what you think of Greg and the USMNT results in the WC, that’s in the past. The question is what do they need in the future? What type of coach do they need to be successful at the next WC? Which, by the way, is being hosted by 🇲🇽 🇨🇦 and the 🇺🇸. I don’t have any strong opinions except one: No more coaches with only MLS experience. Get someone from Europe who knows how to play against European teams.

  9. Why is Kasey Keller on this show? What a mouthpiece… Did I hear this correctly? Was he subtly justifying Gregg Berhalter's behavior ? And he thinks 2 years is enough for a coach to prepare a team for a World Cup? C'mon… C'mon… You need 4 years to prepare for a World Cup… And that's still not enough time to evaluate everything required…

  10. Pep and Zidane on the list of possible coaches? Come ESPN, for reals? 🙄
That said, I’d love to see Roberto as the coach. That’s the person for the job imo

  11. Jesse hasn't shown the ability/willingness to adapt to the opponent and frequently change tactics when needed.

Scaloni would be amazing, except US players aren't willing to suffer like Argentine players. They aren't all willing to kill themselves out on the pitch. Only a few are.

Switching gears: Right now, it just kind of feels like a massive opportunity is going to be wasted by US Soccer, because they've always shown a propensity to choose failure over giving control to an intelligent manager.

  12. Regardless of who is right or wrong in this Berhalter-Reyna situation (IMO they are both wrong, but Berhalter started it with his comments at the leadership conference), you can't keep Berhalter. Reyna is a very good player, and as Keller said, this isn't club football where you can sell a player that doesn't get along with the coach and replace him with someone else. If Reyna was Benzema's age, I would say, no you keep the coach, but Reyna is young and unless something tragic happens, will be one of the best US players in 2026. I don't mind going with an interim coach for a while and evaluating the situation. That's what Argentina did with Scaloni after 2018, and it worked out great for them.

  13. Gimme whatever ole Greg is smoking, he’s a terrible tactical coach and is living off the talent of the youth. He is getting no where near a knockout win let alone the semi finals

  14. USA should hire Halilhodzic, the manager who coached Morocco for three years through World Cup qualifiers. There will be no family feud within the national team; players will know sure that “stars” will not be running the show.
