Enzo Maresca said Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi being exiled from the Chelsea squad was a “bad feeling”, but compared the situation to the life of his 75-year-old father.
Sterling and Disasi are training away from the first team after failing to secure moves away during the summer window.

if players have opportunity to move and they turn down said moves due to lower salary, they should get no sympathy
FACTS
Oh no the Rich Players are sad…
Very true Enzo
Enzo saying it as it is, no mincing words.
Lol……well said Enzo, found a new level of respect for my coach
Respect
Oh no not the mental health of the 200k a week player 😞
So, why did Chelsea sign them?
Oh no poor sterling , getting paid 300k per week without having to play 😢 poor guy he must be so traumatized, what a horrible life 😅
Maresca is correct. His dad is tough as old leather football boots, these footballers are being paid more in one week than people earn in 10 years.
Raheem sterling £350,000 a week wages.
Over a million pounds per month.
Loved Maresca’s response at the end 💪
Well said. The players had plenty options to leave and play but decided to sit and take the money and now they moan and act the victim.
Spot on Maresca. Bloody poor players having to train alone….do me a favour. Most of us go to jobs we hate just to pay the bills.
Get that on a t shirt. 😂
The pfa and FIFApro will get involved if Chelsea continues to do that. It's crazy when a club wants u out they can do whatever, but when a player wants to leave, it's always honor your contract
Chelsea didn't have a break. I'm dreading the winter, fact that Chelsea didn't replace Colwill when he was injured means they will have a very tought season.
No lies detected here, they're payed too much money and underperforming
Why should anyone feel bad him. Sterling is part of the 1 percent that are richer than the 99 percent of us
Disasi has 4 years not 6 years left.
Let them train with the squad but don’t involve them in games. Isolating them to me makes no sense because playing or not, they’re still getting paid.
The question is what moves were made in the summer and was there any sabotage
Gael, the journalist who asked same question 3 times was very rude and unprofessional. Enzo handled it masterfully every time. Sky sport should teach their journalist journalism
"My father's a fisherman, Worked from 2 am to 10 am, for 50 years." – That is for millions of people around the world. Playing in PL is a gift.
Simple and to the point
I stand with Enzo, no person whether they play for a football club or work for a football club – are not above the company they represent. I don't have any sympathy with Sterling or Disasi. They don't care what the fans or normal people have to go through outside of sport in normal day-to-day activity to get by and vice versa. Sterling refusing to take a pay cut is a sign of greed, selfishness and a complete disrespect to not just the club but the fans too.
Can’t believe how some so-called fake journalists ask stupid questions just to stir drama. Players earning £300k a week—more than most people see in 10 years—yet they still get their humanity questioned. Perfect response from Maresca, cutting through the nonsense. 👏
Maresca is absolutely right. Respect to his father first then him.
Look at this nonsense. How do you sign a player on a 6-year contract and then completely ignore him? That’s just sad. Yet the media went wild when players wanted to leave for their preferred clubs. What annoys me most is the hypocrisy of some former players. They criticized Isak and Wissa’s moves, but when it’s a club treating players this way, suddenly it’s acceptable? What kind of double standard is that?
❤ to Enzo
Enzo put it as it is to the journalist well said respect to his father
Sterling should go play in second division..
Maresca is right..its ridiculous..sterling had chances to move..he didnt want a reduction in wages…its pathetic..look at yourself sterling
The most obvious forced story in the world. Whatever gets you clicks on the algorithm I guess
No one forced Chelsea to offer the contracts and wages that they did.
At the same time, if they wanna exclude their players which I imagine will only reduce the money they get for them at the other end, so be it
i love this 😂
Well said 👏👏
Why would sterling sacrifice his 300k for u maresca, enjoy the money Sterling 💰
Shouldn’t have offered him all that money then right?
Players getting paid £100000 a week whilst families are struggling to eat and have pay bills Maresca is 100% right these players are millionaires they have no right to complain.
Why is she looking at the camera when her colleague is on the screen? How bizarre?
Enzo speaks from his heart….and he is 100% correct
The disregard for players mental health because they get paid alot of money is staggering. Pretty sure Tyson Fury had a few million in the bank, as did Frank Bruno and God rest his soul Ricky Hatton. All had more money than most of us will ever see but it doesn't stop them from feeling negatively about life. Everything is relative to your experience.. not someone else's. Maresca point is completely irrelevant to the people involved.
But when players like isak wants to leave the fans shouldn't be angry
350k a week to train just 3 hours a day, excluding weekends. lmao
Stirling has had a great run as a footballer no doubt he will be able to find somewhere else, but Maresca isn’t wrong either.
