We tried to get Antony and offered double the salary,a day before the deadline,he declined because he had already given his word to Betis. Wow. Lookman, Antony, Jackson,we were suddenly serious in the transfer market, but why not like this earlier? I guess Uli made us desperate in the end.

Anyway season starts now. Nobody will give a fuck about this window if we win everything.
If we lose because of depth issues like this year vs Inter we can each say our pieces and how we knew it better (we actually did this time tbf) but until then idc about Lookman Anthony and all that other noise.

Nah, if the Antony news is true, which it most likely is, Eberl needs to be sacked. Months of doing absolutely nothing other than failing, wasting weeks and weeks on single targets, Uli fucked us but Eberl didn’t do anything to help us up again.
There’s no idea behind anything we did, we didn’t go after profiles, just randomly throwing our hat in. We needed a LW backup and a 10/Striker and we go for a RW?
Signing Antony would’ve meant the end of Karl’s chances, why would you do that? I was in full Eberl support mode most of the window but he simply is bad at his job, this window, however limited it was, makes this crystal clear.

Antony was not available on loan so I personally doubt how serious we were in for him. If we offered him double the wages it would have up be a permanent signing which Uli didn’t want.

Why try Antony? Would he have been anything more than a middle finger to Karl position wise?

But only one thing is certain for me: At the end of my career, I absolutely want to play in the USA, in the MLS. This is 100% my plan, my goal” [@SPORTBILD]
Was posted in the old thread already but it was already very late.
For me this means he won’t return to bayern. Next summer he will be 25 already. If he would come here next summer and sign a 5 year deal, he would be 30 by the end of the contract. But he wants to go abroad [like Wirtz] and also wants to play in the US. I know 30 isn’t the end of a career anymore, but personally I don’t see him waiting until he turns 30 to get his move abroad.
