I can’t bear to see Kimmich and Goretzka anymore, it’s too much, it stinks of stagnation in the most important part of the squad (the midfield).
Pavlovic is on the bench just so that Goretzka gets yet another chance, we’re stopping the development of a great young player to give minutes to a guy that has been inconsistent for five years and hasn’t improved a single aspect of his game in that time.
Gnabry was horrible vs a 3rd division team (or was it 4th division I don’t know) and we have Karl, considering it’s Augsburg it’s not even risky to play him over Gnabry or anything.
All Goretzka has to offer is the most basic thing a player can do, which is, make an effort, but even in his best game, he is not a good midfielder.
This squad’s average is 29.1 years old, that is the oldest squad in the Bundesliga, we’re not even in transition anymore, we’re just old.
