UTD are in a complete and utter mess. De Jong stated time and again that he did not want to join the club. But, for some unknown mysterious reason only UTD will understand, they continued for three months, to chase this player. Now they are pulling out after finally getting the message. UTD have embarrassed themselves before the whole world with this fiasco.

I can't help but agree with DeJong though as United has been a graveyard for players in recent seasons. He won't make any difference as the problem in United is how the club is run.

MUFC had to do something to try and move it along. Barca have no offers for De Jong now so if they want to offload his wages they will have to conclude the deferral issue and negotiate a new offer. It was too easy for them to play hardball with Frenkie if they had an offer on the table waiting. If he stays, Barca are paying his full wage packet and the amount he deferred.
But mark goldbridge told me in 49 videos he was 90% sure he was joining United !
