IF Konate demands are too excessive vs what a replacement player would cost,
they will let him walk free. They did that with Emre Can, Wynaldum ..etc
FSG will only make exceptions for players like VVD & Salah.
As it stands, LFC has no problems top players.

Konate looked very down when he came into training yesterday. He is unusually pretty up, but I suspect the incoming CBs news might have affected him, or he knows he won't be signing a new contract and the current talks with LFC are for nought.

Sell Konate this season. Get Guehi this season and get this sorted out. Why are we not making moves to prevent the repeatation of this nonsense. If it become a practice we will become a stepping stone. I am not against a player wanting to leave but limiting the option of clubs that can bid for a want away player I find infuriating. Move him on and get the money.

Hi Dunc, basically if he won't extend with us leave him on the beach to rot…. we've got 2 new CB coming in so that will give us 5…..and Konate will go as 5th choice with little game time in a world cup year….if Real Madrid think anything of him then pay more than the 20 million we can easily absorb…or you keep the bench warm son!!
Do Real Madrid really believe that Konate is that valuable, Liverpool will miss him that much, in my opinion he's a crocked waste of space has the occasional good game, and his crying over not getting MoM awards last season.

If he doesn't renew we have to sign Guehi on top of Leoni and inform Konate that he has to go this summer for a fair and decent fee or he'll be the 5th choice defender for us in a world cup year and in a year time he won't be an option for Madrid or any top club.
Probably in the minority, I usually am 😂, but personally I think konate has served the club well and if his dream move is RM then fine. If he’s been told the only way they will come for him is if he runs down his contract, again I’m ok with that. He’ll work hard next season, never any suggestion he gives anything less than 100%. He’s definitely replaceable and the time for the club to sort his contract was last summer not this one. I hope we get guehi and keep konate one more season. I would be more concerned if konate goes this summer, far too many changes.

Hi Dunk, after 15 days of nothing, I think it would be safe to say something was happing behind the senses. No after 15 days ot came back up again I would say Madrid was paninicing now but after the traitor trent situation and that mail stand video (love them videos btw) make me think they are just that cocky and argent that they are say we have got him while trying to get liverpool to accept 20 mill for him. What are your thoughts on this and what ever happens i hope its not another year like last one if he wants to go just say it now in my opinion
This is quite a demanding situation, isn't it? It's natural that players demand more money from clubs. One can say "greed" or the player "wants to feel appreciated", etc. at the end of the day, Football players' career can be shortlived.
And Konate did perform well for Liverpool. Last season, "he was a beast", a line/quote I have heard many times from a lot of football match reviews. I wish he can stay with Liverpool because he fits in Liverpool family vibes. Ideally, I hope Liverpool could grant his wages without breaking the wage structure, of course. But I think konate has made up his mind. Moreover, he wants to play with 3 French colleagues at Real Madrid. You got 3 Frenchie putting in words, you got Traitor Trend putting in words. Real Madrid is going for Konate for sure.

My thoughts are if Liverpool are panicking about losing Konate, then they would be probably offering more for Guehi to get him in. Also ,Liverpool ran an algorithm to find out if it was worth selling Nunez to Saudi for £70m in January .The algorithm decided it would be better to keep him for the title race. You now ask the algorithm should we sell Konate for £20m now or keep him for the season, The algorithm, knowing we have an injury prone Gomez and an 18 year old coming from Parma, would still be laughing a week later about the idea of selling Konate for £20m.
I don`t think Guehi will sign for Liverpool if he is going to play second fiddle, he will not sit on the bank….if he comes then Konate will be going

I do wonder if the madrid silence means its gone well for them. there's been reports of contract renewals with Konate recently so you wonder if Diaz is running this now because those talks have ended. with all said and done Guehi coming to liverpool during a world cup year to sit on the bench makes zero sense unless he's going to play and with Leoni signed and all possible loan moves ruled out suggests to me Konate could be sold this summer and as you say Madrid can report low, liverpool can report high in terms of transfer fees and everybody goes home happy. I wouldn't be surprised and I wouldn't be upset if Konate does go this summer because its better than a repeat of last season and I think the club "hehe for sure" will not want it repeated
