It is clear now, Brooks has been playing out of position this season. There was not a discernable drop off in the defensive unit once he went down with a bad injury. Barton stepped up and filled in almost flawlessly. If Brooks has a significant knee injury, he might be ready to go until mid 2023 season. Barton is on the last year of his deal as well, thus ILB has to be addressed in the draft.
