Newcastle United have shifted their transfer focus to signing a new centre-back after resolving the Alexander Isak saga.
Liverpool had submitted a £110M bid for Isak, which was rejected as it fell short of Newcastle’s £150M valuation.
In a surprise twist, Liverpool pulled out of negotiations, and Isak is now expected to stay.
With striker plans settled, Newcastle are targeting Chelsea’s Axel Disasi as a defensive reinforcement, alongside other options like Marc Guehi.
