On this week’s Scout Report, we take a look at three signings Leeds should make to help them qualify for Europe next season!

Having finished 9th in the Premier League, ahead of Everton and Aston Villa, and within three points of Arsenal and Tottenham, fans of Leeds United can be pretty happy with their first season back in the top flight.

It’s all the more impressive considering that despite spending almost £100million net in last summer’s transfer window, they had actually invested very little in the squad in the previous two years of Marcelo Bielsa’s managerial reign. And among the 17 teams that stayed in the Prem last term, only Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Burnley currently have a less valuable squad than Leeds right now (£219.4m) according to Transfermarkt.

But for a club with ambitions of getting back into Europe, further investment is clearly needed, with the top half of the Premier League arguably as competitive as its ever been. Breel Embolo, Nahitan Nandez and Josip Brekalo could help them bridge the gap!
