Newcastle United have decided to part ways with striker Callum Wilson after both parties couldn’t agree on a new contract extension. The magpies were keen on extending the 33-year old’s contract ahead of the new season but it seems Wilson wanted more than what he was earning at the club.
Wilson was on a £46k per week salary at Newcastle and by the look of things he might have maybe wanted a package that was going to be in the top 5 highest paid players at Newcastle.
In just 5 seasons at the club, Wilson helped the club end their 41-year trophy drought winning the Carabao Cup last season.
