Say we keep Palhinha. Who would play forward in a 3 Midfield of Kimmich, Pavlo, Palhinha. Who would you have play the pivot?

  2. I hope this injury is a wake up call for FIFA/UEFA and they start introducing some stricter rules on goalkeepers. They can get away with murder in the box as long as they touch the ball. This injury is 100% on their stupid rules. We have seen time and time again goalkeepers doing that and yesterday it just happened to a world class player and I hope that raises attention to the matter. If a player goes with his legs trough Musiala and breaks his leg, it’s a penalty and a red because it’s extremely dangerous and by rule he first touches the player and only after the ball so 100% a foul. Donnaruma can dive in dangerously in the last seconds of the half like that because he knows he won’t get punished for it. He just needs to touch the ball, anything else doesn’t matter. This needs to change.

Would you guys bring Musiala in the back half of the season? Major issues with such a serious injury are often the muscle injuries due to imbalances afterwards. Since there will be a World Cup I would expect an extreme cautious approach.

Yesterday was devastating for Bayern but if the reports are to believed I think 4-5 months is not bad. I hope he is well rested and his fitness is not rushed so that when he comes back, he is ready to demolish opponent defences like he is used to doing.

In terms of transfers, I think now definitely we need someone not only to add depth to the squad but also to directly walk in and play Musiala’s position. For this purpose I think both Woltemade and Simmons are a must for us. Even when Musiala comes back, these players will still have space in the squad. Eberl’s job just become more challenging but I hope he brings on the best solutions to our problems.

with all the shock about musiala it really didn‘t hit me yesterday that this was actually müller‘s last game for us

what are the odds you guys go back in for Nkunku now? there was prior interest and i doubt chelsea still wants that much money, seeing there’s barely any interest in him

  7. I skipped this tournament of greed, so I wasn’t following Bayern (and football in general) all that closely for the past month or so. Needless to say I’m beyond pissed at the Musiala injury. From the looks of things at least everybody else made it out largely unscathed at least? Still a raw deal to lose your most important player for a very long time, of course. I hope the money was worth it.

To be maybe a little more productive, looking at the team at the moment, it seems there’s four players for four positions in the offense (Kane, Gnabry, Coman, and Olise; maybe five if we don’t discount Zaragoza). That’s a lot of work ahead for Eberl et al. Bundesliga starts less than seven weeks from now.

  8. I couldn’t really pinpoint why i felt a little down throughout the afternoon today and I came to realize the Musiala injury really gutted me.

Controversial opinion but I don’t think Donnaruma is to blame. It was incredibly unlucky what happened but having seen the replay multiple times I don’t believe there was any ill intention by him. We need to stop blaming him for something that was simply unlucky and start to see things from an unbiased eye.
