News has broken this morning from the England camp that captain Harry Kane has had to go to hospital for a scan on the foot injury he picked up against Iran. This may well mean he misses Fridays game and gives Callum Wilson the opportunity to start against the USA.
Also news that Newcastle United have said no to Ronaldo, Garang Kuol makes his world cup debut and news on Marcus Thuram.

I think our current league position is now an attractive value to have with regards to potential players. It's no longer just a 'project' – it's now a reality. I think we'll bring in three potential first team players in January, and I think (due to our league position) it will be early on as agents won't want to miss the boat where we quickly move onto other targets.
There's no chance that Ronaldo will be a Newcastle player, plus he's just received a two match ban. He's too divisive and if he can act himself at Man U – then he'll only do it with us.

Renaldo is a man-child, his attitude has always sucked, 7 years ago you could forgive him because he backed it with form. Now he just needs to accept his time as king has come to an end. No decent in the dressing room! I think Howe is spot on. We need young player to build a team for the future.

Wilson could well get his chance against the USA, certainly I'd expect Southgate to rest Kane (his favourite) against a lesser side. As for Ronaldo, he falls foul of the Newcastle 'no @resholes" policy on so many levels.
