  1. Yet again mate – Nothing but the best content here. Definitely my first port of call for everything THFC related. If there was a weekly podcast to come in the future perhaps you’ve got a guaranteed listener here. Keep up the good work. COYS.

  2. Alasdair you are the GOLD standard in football reporting. I have been following your posts in the last few weeks and cannot wait for the next one. More power to you, mate.
With regards to this post and the all round enthusiasm surrounding Spurs, Other PL teams, Chelsea & Arsenal notably have spent the big bucks and brought in truly capable world class players. Whilst there is no doubting the men Spurs have got in, other than Reguilon, none of the others can arguably walk into any other teams first 11. Bale is another matter altogether and I dont believe getting Bale was a tactical decision. But it will all boil down to all these players being able to work and play as a team – which takes time !. My concern is whether by saying the club has given JM what "he wants", is there massive pressure on him to deliver a trophy. As a Spurs fan, its difficult to hold back the enthusiasm right now, but should this not be tempered ?
I think I'm for JM's line : lets go with the mentality of winning every match and then see where we end up. For me this season will be all about creating / building that we can win against anyone / anytime / anywhere mentality

  3. Cheers Alasdair for your updates and unbiased information about our club. It's a happy camp at the moment and certainly reason for optimism. On a lot of the spurs fan pages all you are hearing from certain corners, is why wasnt pochettino given the same backing. Now I loved poch but he wasnt a winner, and i don't see how you can instill a winning mentality into your players when you when you haven't been there and done it yourself. In Jose we have the missing peice. Hes been there and done it many times. I think him and levy are the perfect partnership and i think everybody secretly knows it and are worried. Don't quash your excitement about fighting o all fronts. We're on the charge this year so watch out. Oh and as a bonus, Mourinho will spend the rest of his career at N17

  4. This is the type of squad we should have had under Pochettino … that being said, damn we've got a hell of a squad … with regards to Bale I still won't believe he's back until he's on the pitch … I do honestly and full heartedly believe we'll get Skrinniar in January … the one player I'm looking forward to seeing on the pitch is Vinicius

  5. It has been a brilliant window. People are wondering why Mr Levy has finally really gone for it. I think the answer is three fold. First, if you appoint a manager like Jose, and want to keep him, you have to back him. Second, Spurs have a magnificent new stadium, that we have to service the debt for. To do that and make a tidy profit we must have Champions League football. Without an extensive re-build we stood no chance of top four. Without that all the really big corporate customers who bring in big money would migrate to other clubs, and of course CL tv revenue is massive. So Mr Levy is simply ‘speculating to accumulate.’ He’s putting money into the business to increase the chances of profit. Third, despite what many think Levy is actually a Spurs fan and does want to win stuff. The effect of this is everyone wins. Thanks Daniel and well done.

  6. Thanks for your hard work Ali these videos are an invaluable insight to what is actually going on the club and your knowledge and delivery is fantastic. Keep up the good work.

  7. The end of one of our best ever windows, reported on so brilliantly by our best journo yet again. Massive props to Daniel Levy, Steve Hitchin and Jose Mourinho for pulling it all off and hopefully, we'll hear no more absolute nonsense about Daniel being a tight fisted old skinflint with no interest in investing money into the club, because he has pulled off an absolute blinder this window. What's not to like? Brilliant job by all involved. COME ON YOU SPURS!

  8. You deserve all these great comments I'm reading here, thanks for your excellent journalism on what's happening at Spurs. This could be a great season after the difficult last one. Let's hope so! 🙂

  9. If Rodon can't play on the europa squad, we could of loaned him back to Swansea for the season, continuing his development. Once dier is back, I cant see the lad playing as much as he needs to. I'm excited to see him in a spurs shirt in the future. Brilliant video again sir! Coys

  10. Nice one Ali! Realistically we're not going to win every game, but fans should maintain this level of excitement despite whatever results because it is what it is, exciting times ahead!

  11. I've been a Spurs fan for over 60 years and have never been so excited by a squad. Even with the double team we only had a first XI and a few others who could come in.
Over the decades we've had many good/great teams but lack of depth was frequently a problem. Now we can put out a first XI and have another first XI on the bench!
Now if you'll excuse me, as I've retired to southern Italy, I'm going to a little bar around the corner to watch the match. We've got the owner well trained, Spurs takes precedence over any Italian match 😁 COYS

  12. Alasdair are we going to have reaction/review videos from you after the matches on this channel!? I'd love such content from you, although it might be possible owning to your position as a journalist and paucity of time. I'd love a video atleast once a week☺️ Do let us know

  13. I still giggle like a kid when anyone mentions Son + Bale… oh and we now have Bale also… Was my fav player so having him back now is just unbelievable. Cheers for the update AG. Very hard to not be excited right now about what Spurs can achieve. COYS!

  14. Found this late Alasdair but as usual you deliver it to us warts n all in the style only you can get away with! Thank you mate and may it continue well into the future! Having designed the stadium I know what it's like to be involved with the club you love!! Over the moon!!

  15. Daniel Levy has done things (or not done things) to give Spurs fans headaches and heartaches over the years. But, this transfer window is not one of those things. He's been brilliant in supporting his manager. Anyone feeling otherwise is holding old grudges. Excited to see where this season goes. Thanks for the updates, Ali! #COYS

  16. Thank you Alasdair , great vlog.I think it is a little sad how things have gone with Danny Rose.Great player for us , but his nose was put out when Walker left and did'nt get a pay rise that he thought he deserved.
Plus his attitude during the documentary was not great.
For me I think we should compete for all trophies this year.My slight concern is our centre halves.Toby has been great but getting a little slower, Dier not sure about and Sanchez not great with the ball.If we could get top 4 then we could attract 2 quality centre halves, then I think the Premier League could be truly on.Oh well fingers crossed for today and COYS.

  17. As excited as you and Spurs fans are you are forgetting just how many pens Tottenham players have given away this season.
The CD area is still a big weakness.

  18. I have no idea why Daniel Levi has critics he has built Spurs the best training ground ground now really challenging squad and one of the best managers in the world he has worked to put things in place in the right way and Spurs will eventually be winning stuff again
