I haven’t seen anyone mentioning it, but the new Trikot has been designed by Kid Super which is a niche luxury streetwear designer from New York. Basically Puma/BVB didn’t have any creative control over this. Adding to this, the longsleeve one is pretty nice imho.

Well Puma must have given them the assignment, right? So ‘no’ control is up for debate.

Nevertheless the design sucks a bag of ugly dicks.

I am so glad taste is subjective… Also I highly, highly doubt this brand was able to do whatever the fuck they want without ‘any creative control’ from Puma and BVB. There is no way.

interesting, didn’t know this. it’s weird because I like NY art but I don’t think he did a great job with our kit.

Who on earth thought putting “KidSuper” in childish doodling in the middle of a BVB jersey was a good idea? That looks so bad it might as well be a troll.

  5. I like it, best „kit“ in years. The longsleeve one. The official cwc kit is allright. Taste must really be subjective.

I think I wouldn’t mind this design at all if BVB had a more stable ‘default’ design for league games every year. Like a motif that they continue year after year with some variations.

Each year it’s a tense wait to see if the new design for the next year will look good or not and you’re bound to compare them with your favourites (and least favourites) from the last few years.

I really don’t mind this as a cup kit, but all the hate is understandable cause BVB and Puma set themselves up for failing by trying a new design each year.

Thats bogus. They where contracted, of course Puma had control. You also don’t contract someone to build your house without directions or plans. There is a whole process in which they will have communicated about designs. And even if it was designed by KidSuper, I never heard of them for once, and secondly it still looks shit imo.

The more I have seen the kit, the more I like it actually. I know I am in the minority, but Art is subjective I guess lol.

  9. I wouldn’t mind the art but he should have kept one design. Why makes the circles with the stripes?
