  1. Guess this is him saying he’s ready for a new role as head coach somewhere. Really hope he can kill it somewhere and eventually come back

  2. I like Don Kovac, he proved me wrong but goddamn I loved Edin, I miss him dearly. I hope to see him back one day!

It is an interesting article indeed! It seems to me that Terzic is drawing the right conclusions from his time with us and I hope that he gets to make the progress he desires.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the guy to death, but he was a mediocre coach and our football philosophy has stagnated if not regressed during his tenure. We had Sancho, Haaland and Bellingham over a certain period and we didn’t manage to win any titles. I know that the DFB Cup in 2021 (?) is a fig leaf, but if we’re completely honest with ourselves we should have won way more than that and if we’re winning titles who knows if the players don’t stick around 1-2 years longer, but in the end there is no sense in crying over spilled milk.

If he actually develops a football philosophy and proves his worth at several other clubs I wouldn’t mind having him back one day but for now I am relieved that this chapter of unexperieneced head coaches has come to an end at this club ever since the Sahin disaster.

  4. I’m a fan who starting supporting BVB this season, could someone give a fan perspective on the Terzic stuff? Cause on paper except for the 2023-24 season he seemed pretty solid…no? Am I off here ?

Edit: not a new football fan, I’m coming from the Serie A. I know only know the more “famous” stuff about the Bundesliga

If only we would’ve won that final against Madrid. A literal lifetime fan of the club would’ve cemented himself as a top 3 coach of our entire history bringing us our biggest win in almost 30 years. Maybe that would’ve been too good to be true

I never really liked the way we played under him, becasue he was inferior tactically (compared to his ability of establishing chemistry and motivating the players), but I honestly wish the best for him. Last year’s CL run was fucking amazing, from dominating a group of death all the way to the halftime of the final.

Amazing man, I hope he can land a good job for himself.

Honestly id love to see him back at the club at some point, i think he still has a lot to give

  8. As critical as I was with his tactics, that is but a drop in the ocean of positivity I have for him

  9. Im going to follow whatever team he ends up coaching. Terzic deserves way more respect than he gets.

    I’ll never understand it.

Certain people at the club has such a problem with him even though he won the cup, came within 10 minutes of winning the league and went to the fucking champions league final.

People love to quibble about certain decisions or tactics, but I judge managers on their results
