It's interesting looking at how squads reflect the role a manager is asked to carry out by the FA, it was clear Southgate was a long term bring lads through and develop them long term and looking at the squads now it's win or bust
Henderson should never be included in an England squad again. He chose to move to weaker league for money & hasn’t been playing to the standard required. It’s about moving forward now not back.
If he's a good leader off the pitch, maybe make him a coach?

Always said Rice, who's been dropped, was a poor man's Henderson – but I was referring to Henderson from 10 years ago LOL. In "2 years time" he'll be 36, and he was slow in his prime. The England squad is suddenly really weak, even on paper – when a couple of years ago it was the best in the world (not in performance, just potentially).
