Lionel Messi gave his team hope in the 27th minute of a pivotal match against Montreal by scoring from outside the box after receiving a precise pass from Sergio Busquets.
The match was not without its issues, though. Due to injury setbacks, Inter Miami lost several important players in the first half. Gonzalo Lugan departed the game early because of a left hamstring injury, and Jordi Alba left the field shortly after as well. Even if Alba was able to leave, Inter Miami would be greatly hampered by his absence because he is essential to both offensive and defensive tactics
