    Newcastle United are interested in the Brighton forward Joao Pedro. Pedro has a number of admirers in the Premier League and Europe and Newcastle are one of those, who have him on a shortlist of possible striker options. Pedro is a close friend of Bruno Guimares – a fellow Brazilian in the North East – though Sky Sports News has been told Pedro would only consider a move to a club where he was first-choice striker, which could be a stumbling block to any deal.

      He’s not prolific but he’s got technical ability and versatility which we are lacking in the squad right now. He’s not worth anything more than £45 million though.

      Talk about flogging a dead horse… this will never happen. We turned him down to get Isak, as much as that was the right decision I very much doubt he'd want to move to us after agreeing a deal, setting up the medical and then doing a u-turn. He's already stated that he was upset by it so what's the point? Move on.

      This is better than nothing Joao Pedro would really boost a fast attack with Isak upfront but now we have to consider defensive midfielders like the likes of Lamine Camara who would help stabilize the midfield like how Joelintin easily balances it well the Tonali and Bruno…Also in need of a right back and a cb and with the likes of Thiaw or Thiago Djalo and for right back going for the likes of Murillo will be a great bargain to help the team win the Champions league
