Atletico, Tottenham, Leipzig(although they are so bad), Newcastle. They all have more talented players than BVB. But BVB pay players more. The worst? Saudi state-owned Newcastle pay less when they have players like Tonali, Guimaraes and Isak.

Also trying too hard for Bellingham makes me so mad. I am sure they are going for him JUST BECAUSE HE IS ENGLISH. Just go all in for Jashari who will have 100% better attitude and loyalty(trust me bro) at least than an Englishman. (Jamie Gittens throwing tantrums as if he is a world beater)

our revenue is decidedly higher than that of Atletico, Newcastle or Leipzig

  2. I don’t think they go for Bellingham because he is english. They go for him because he is Judes brother and we need a CM which he coincidentally is.

Regarding the post: We always had multiple “useless”, but expensive players in the squad over the past years. Whether it was Schulz, Schürrle, late Meunier or recently players like Reyna, Haller and Moukoko (we 100% still payed parts of their high salary even on loan).

Every year I hope we get rid of these kind of players but we always can’t sell them all at once and often buy another one of these kind of players. Although tbh last year was actually not too bad in that regard.

The only failing player was Couto and I am 100% sure he can do better, especially now with 3atb. We do have Ryerson though and we will have to see how much playing time he will get.

There is more potential in the squad if we could use the resources for these players for better players for the squad, but it’s easier said than done.

Its amazing the myth that has been created for the Dortmund fanbase. If its Ok that Dortmund dont finish ahead of Bayern, then we should be finishing 2nd every season. The gap between Dortmund and the other teams in the Bundesliga is huge. The lack of ambition is terrible

Quite frankly part of me is kind of glad that we are spending, albeit quite horribly. But I’m not sure we can discount how much Haller set us back. Not his fault whatsoever, but because of the cancer that’s 30m down the drain in transfer fees, then we spent money on Fullkrug, Modeste and Guirassy, and all the wages that come with it. Comes out to what, 70m, maybe more? I didn’t like the signing from the start but people wanted us to veer away from wonderkids and selling off right away and this is the result

We’re consistently overperforming in the last few seasons in Europe given this. And yet, we’re still overpaying a good bunch of players.

  6. Just to be clear. Those are ALL wages of employees in the clubs. Not just the first team.
For a fair comparisson you have to keep in mind different structures (i.e. existence of amateur teams etc), number of total employees, wage-levels in the countries, taxes(!) etc.

As a club listed on the stock exchange BVB has to be pretty transparent in that regard. So you can see that the players of the first team got €125,6M in wages and €33,4M in bonuses.

That’s a very debatable statement lol.

    Lol, you’re Irish or something?

wtf are you talking about? jashasri will be more loyal? how do you? youre probably just another brainless twitter warrior who keeps seeing jashari stats compared to jobe stats and base your opinion around that without having seen a single match of either player. so tired of these clueless “fans”

  10. PSG spent a hundred million more than the second club in that list. That’s the most atrocius thing considering how everyone is praising their side without a real star.

  11. I really hate this new narrative of how PSG is now a homogeneous grown club instead of what it truely is. It’s sheiks playtoy bought for sportswashing, decently run no question but still

Don’t blindly assume that the salary Newcastle reports to the Premier League is the end of all benefits any talented player would get when they sign for the prince of Saudi Arabia. It’s likely more than just that…

  13. >This pic makes me so angry

    Me too.

We have too many players that earn very well, but only deliver when they are like in the right mood (Brandt, Sabitzer, Süle). The management is too proud to admit and fix mistakes.

I love this club from early childhood. The black and yellow shirts have spawned intense emotion for almost five decades now. I have been with the club, when the goal was just to stay in the first devision and i have been with the club through the nearly bankruptcy.

BUT this team and this mangement is driving me away at the speed of light. I rather watch motor sports than wasting my time being angry about half-hearted Bundesliga matches.

Newcastle only pays less because they have lower revenues than us and have to limit spending under the Premier League’s Profit & Sustainability Rules. Aston Villa and possibly other teams like Nottingham Forest would spend far more if they are allowed to.
