Mat more than deserves it. He saved our asses more times than I could count. While he didn't keep that goal out in the final, he kept Australia in the game.ย

there is more to a keeper than just shot stopping. Ryan's distribution is far better than the korean keeper. A number of our attacks throughout the tournament were started by ryans quick and smart distribution. This is why i believe he is the better keeper.ย

By most of your logic, the goalkeeper from the team that lost should have won the award? If he is as good as you are claiming then why did he concede two goals in the match apposed to one? Matt Ryans aggressive distribution and defensive midfield headers are some reasons why he won the award. Bottom-line the better goalkeeper is always going to be the one that wins the match especially when said goalkeepers are playing each other. Pretty sure the people who give the awards are qualified and paid to make the right decisions, no need to be biased. Leave the awarding to the people who have the job.

2015 AC had so many outstanding goalkeepers. Ryan and Kim are among them. It's very hard to say who's better.

Kim Jin hyeon is 10000% Better than Matthew Ryan's
It wasn't based on goals conceded, it was based on performance.
Ryan was the more outstanding performer at the Asian cup.
Say what you want, and you South Koreans love complaining in the comments, but Mat Ryan won the award, therefore meaning he was the best keeper at the Asian cup.

1) A keepers performance isn't just based on highlight reel saves. If a keeper doesn't have to dive often but makes plenty of saves, it is usually due to good positioning. Pretty sure Matt Ryan had more saves in the tournament tha Kim Jin hyeon.
2) South Korea had a much more reliable defence than Australia. Giving Kim Jin Hyeon so much credit for the clean sheets Korea had during the tournament undermines how good the Korean defence was. Since Ryan had more saves than Kim in the tournament, it would suggest Ryan was much more active than his Korean counterpart.
3) Even though its not really what keepers are judged on, Matt Ryan's distribution, is underrated and his distribution is easily better than Kim Jin Hyeon. I would argue that he is one of the best sweeper keepers in world football in regards to ball control and distribution accuracy.
chris yi mathew ryan is way better than kim jin hyeon and if u are not blind he saved it and went on the post… if kim jin hyeon is better than him how has one the best GK of the asian cup and is going to valencia one of the best clubs
