  1. Giroud was an unconventional striker. His lack of pace made him hone in on his timing, striking angles, and first touch beat defenses. Him and Berbatov played a similar flavor of football that doesn't exist anymore.

  2. If the best you’ve faced is Giroud then you haven’t seen the true power and fearsome capabilities of the 90s and 2000s top strikers.

    R9, Adriano, Vieri, Klinsmann, Bergkamp, Henry, Bierhoff, Batistuta, Van Basten, Shearer, Shevchenko, Crespo, Romario, Bebeto…. The list goes on

  3. The crazy thing about Giroud was his ability to put a shot on target from an uncomfortable position. It did not matter if his back was turned, the ball is too far behind him, too far in front, he has this uncanny ability to be able to get the ball on goal from those positions.
