I enjoy Souness, but disagree with him in regards to Casemiro being a βSteady Eddieβ.
The world would be a much better place if this man wasnβt given a platform to voice his opinions.

It's surprising that Souness doesn't understand Casemiro. He talks about what isn't seen by the untrained eye, which is correct with regard to Casemiro, and for which he is the greatest to play his position. It's the exact attributes he mentions – positioning and reading the game to block passes in behind the defence – everything without the ball – that gives protection and allows wing backs more time up the park, while also influencing the organisation of the defenders. But with the ball, he can also split open a defence and make the team play. He is ALWAYS in the right place, and ALWAYS works to be an option for a defender to get it out. Souness clearly can't admit Man U have made a good signing.
