No he's not. Sometimes he's way too casual and gives away too many cheap free kicks in very dangerous positions. I don't understand why he has an absolute tendency sometimes to commit completey unnecessary card worthy fouls. Has an injury record. A solid defender and certainly deserves more than what he's earning now but 200k is a huge jump. He needs more competition on the bench.

I don't agree with this. If we were to lose VVD thru injury who will you turn to? The next most senior and reliable centreback that we have is ibou. He is not yet even the finished article. I think we pay him his demand and when he becomes an accomplished defender either keep him or sell him for top dollar
I disagree with you on this one… he’s consistently getting starts for a French team with countless quality cbs and he’s a physical specimen… he can be a bit rash at times jumping into tackles but I think he’s world class… there’s less than 5 cbs I’d have over him

When you look at some of the wages players are on these days, I think 200k wages for Konate is good. He's a beast of a defender and I think the best partnership ship for the centre of defence is. One technically gifted player and one absolute beast of a defender that realise on brute force. Going forward Konate and Huijsen would be epic once VVD hangs up his boots. Konate would walk into 95 percent of teams.
