Do you agree these are the highest priorities? Anyone you think is a fit for them?
I think Cherki is a perfect fit for the CAM in Kovac's system, and would be ecstatic if we could seal the deal.
I also think we could still use a #6 to backup Nmecha. If he goes down, we don't really have anyone who can cover that role. Groß can, but he'll be 34. And Can isn't calm enough on the ball or playing out for that role.

Cherki probably isn’t happening anymore. We missed out in Jan / last August.
A LCB is good, we are short cover right now.
Guirassy backup sounds great, problem is: who?
Would we really go for Jobe if his last name wasn’t Bellingham? Not sure.
Totally agree Can is not calm enough for the Nmecha position, and Groß while fantastic, is aging. Sabitzer should be playing higher up the pitch (debatable if he should be playing at all lol)
Do we need another striker? Beier can play there if Guirassy needs to rest. I agree with the rest though.
chuky played well, but he doesnt seem to be fit. and he is injury prone. if jobe turns out to be as talented as his brother, then why not.
cherki would be great, but im not sure if he is really interested after publicly flirting with psg.
what do we need the left centre back for? we have schlotti, and bensebaini as his backup. how about giving kabar or coulibaly a chance?
haller seems to be recovering his form in the netherlands, and he did well under kovac in frankfurt. why not give him a try?

Why are we not signing a dm? Can clearly can’t play there consistently and nmecha is an 8 that’s been forced in defensive midfield due to a lack of options
Cherki probably has more lucrative offers. Surely the biggest priority is the CM guy. For the CAM positions I feel like keeping Brandt, keeping Reyna possibly, Beier / Adeyemi offer enough if Gittens leaves. It wouldn’t be my top priority. We also still have Duranville there. now, if you can flip 2 (or even just Gittens) into someone better – sure, but without a sale, we just create an inbalance. On CM we have an old guy next to Nmecha and Can for whom so much playmaking responsibility just isn’t the right thing. And other than as a CB, he really has no good position on the team. Sabitzer also has not shown much. Maybe he can turn it on under Kovac. But we’re not gonna get money for either one of them. A really pressing-resistant CM who understands pace and can shift play would be ideal. I don’t know who that could be who would also come here / we can afford though. Chuk obviously has the talent and skill set, really a perfect fit but by god, we can’t pay millions upon millions on someone with that injury history.
I agree with these priorities. The main hole is in midfield. I have been told that Brandt is definitely on his way out but I wouldn’t mind keeping him if we can find someone that can seriously compete with him. Preferably cherki but we will see.
A CM is definitely necessary. Apparently that is Jobe. I think he was initially overrated but then slightly underrated because of people just assuming the hype is his last name. Hopefully he is worth the price tag.
Another striker is necessary since we only have 3 right now for 2 positions. I also wouldn’t mind trying out Haller/moukoko in the new formation. Maybe playing them in the CWC would increase their value or see if it’s worth keeping them.
There are rumors that bense might be sold to marseille. If that happens, it better be for at least 20 mil and then we would need another LCB obviously. Boscagli maybe since he will be out of contract but only if we can get him early for the CWC unless Bense is sold afterwards I guess.
I think that covers everything and then we just buy players based on outgoing transfers.

If Sabitzer is leaving we need two CMs. We saw on Sunday how crucial the double pivot midfield is in top matches, Gross-Nmecha was completely overrun, Gross-Sabitzer held Leverkusen at bay.
