Niclas Fullkrug raged at his West Ham team-mates for failing to carry out head coach Graham Potter’s game plan after a stoppage-time Southampton goal saw them held to a 1-1 draw at home by the Premier League’s bottom side. The German international said they were sh*t in an explosive interview where he held his team-mates to account for their lack of motivation

I doubt anyone wishes to hear from me on MORE videos but on the off chance you do, I have my own YouTube channel discussing football away from West Ham. You can subscribe here: https://www.youtube.com/@TartanGeo
I will be live tomorrow morning at 9am to catch up with what our subscribers think so feel free to join me if you can
This is exactly what i feel is our issue were more scared to lose than we are excited and want to win, idk how to change it, feel weve been like this in the prem since january last year.
Love the Fullkrug comments, but it should be the manager saying this
It shows he cares, I love his interviews personally
I think what he said ( rightly so), will backfired on him, the players gonna be angry and hostile with him..
Top man and 100% true. I was there today and we were shite. Everyone apart from the German and our Brazilian magician were very poor. Bowen took his goal well but was otherwise quiet and far from a captain’s role. Need a massive change and quick.
WHU official channel masks over it with a thumbnail of Bowen
The club really thinks we're all so common and thick, that we're go 'it's Bowen' 'Danny Dyer' 'Fish and Chips'
like Dougal from Father Ted and forget everything else!
Just looked at the starting xi post on the west ham website- apparently Alvarez was out with an injury
All very well Potter saying he wanted the second goal, but his substitutions suggestions something totally different. He was playing for a 1-0 win.
Spot on Niclas – Honest to a fault fella.
Playing Soler, JWD orver Alvarez clearly shows that the Hammers are definitely run by a 17th place coach
Love Fullkrug, I really hope he stays. The fans will LOVE him for this. Well said that man!!!!
Love the way Fullkrug called it out! He said once we went 1-0 up we stopped playing football & we f—-d it up! Fair play to him!
Well said !
Geo, have you had a chance, to catch Nick's rant on C and B. What we need is a Billy Bonds character, a born leader.
Make him manager NOW!
Fullkrug is the bollox, so I am betting now he has spoken out we will sadly let him go in the summer and that will be a huge shame.
Love the no-nonsense approach from the German. He makes no apologies for the swearing and for highlighting the lack of effort. Someone had to do it.
A beautiful big bastard of a man. Potential cult hero in the making if he stays fit.
Interesting analysis.
I didn't read it so black and white but again a possible take
Yes mr Fulkrug. We were shit . I was there. The players you referred to who were not doing what the manager wanted, are probably the same ones that know they won’t be here next season!!!
Good on him! Does this suggest certain players have been the problem for the last 18 months and 3 managers?
I am liking Fulkrug more and more.
Roy Keane summed up the west ham players on sky before the Liverpool game he said the west ham players looked a very difficult bunch to coach that's ot in a nutshell
Sometimes, it takes a player to stand up and shine a light on the problems that his manager is having to deal with. Fuller is definitely leadership material, and I hope Potter appreciates what Niclas said today because it has helped without undermining the manager.
Just goes to show the importance of context. It was really frustrating to see Bowen and Kudus taken off for defensive subs. My assumption was it was a cynical attempt to tactically change the approach to try and keep a 1-0 win. But if sitting back wasn't the instruction, then the subs were recognition that the personnel on the pitch weren't right for the game the players were playing, and we're an attempt to get the personnel on the pitch to support the system that was actually unfolding rather than the one they'd been told to deploy. It sounds like he was trying to give what the players were doing the best chance of succeeding, even if it wasn't what he wanted them to do. Just for clarity, I'm still on the fence about Potter.
Exactly correct Fulkrug…make him Captain! He will get arses in gear!!! 😊
So who is the players. I think kudus is the obvious one. Maybe todibo who isn't showing anything to belive he is one for the future. Maybe soler who is so up and down he isn't showing much to be a starter at every game. We haven't been able to find someone half as good as declan. To easy to play thru us. Need a proper ball winner.
I've always like him. What i will say is the change of formation and subs left everybody scratching their heads considering we had good position at that point although there was far too much side to side and very very slow
I actually think he dug out the manager and then thought better of it later in the rant. Either way, Fullkrug has gone up in my estimation considerably. I expect we'll see some changes next game….
This is an underrated aspect of Füllkrug. His leadership off the pitch shines through, whether you like it or not. He did it as a susbstitute striker at Germany's disastrous World Cup exit (being one of the few players saving face). He also did at Werder Bremen, butting heads with a high ranking club manager, earning himself a suspension (but still becoming a vice captain down the line). Yet he always managed to have the fans behind him and it often had a positiv impact long term. Subsequently, his leadership was always missed when he left a club.
Loved the interview – more please. Sort those sideways/back passers
All this can be traced back to Sullivan
If I were to guess which half of the team he was talking about, I'd definitely have Kudus, Emerson, Todibo, Coufal, Guilherme and Areola on my suspects list.
Fullkrug next manager
This club is toast next season , poor investment lack of intelligent planning poor research .
The ones that was celebrating our 1-1 draw with Moyes . yeah more than likely those players dont want it . not forgetting Lops players .. were a complete mess .i said Potter is polishing two lots of turds !!! only one man to blame , Sullivan .
