Arne Slot admitted he is still unable to provide an update on Trent Alexander-Arnold’s future – despite Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk signing new contracts this month.
Alexander-Arnold’s deal expires at the end of the season and he has been linked with a move to Real Madrid on a free transfer.
“It’s nice that we’ve already done two announcements and we can talk about that for hours – but if you want to talk for hours about Trent, it’s the same answer for hours,” said Slot ahead of Sunday’s trip to Leicester, live on Sky Sports.

It doesn't bother me that TAA wants to move to Madrid. I think many of us would consider that move. But he needed to come out and announced it already instead of just annoy all of us about it endlessly. At the end of the day paying a RB who is a bit slower and not the best defensively, wages on par with VVD and Salah, would not end well regardless of how legendary he might be. Imagine trying to sign Isak or another great player and telling them they have to make a lot less than our slow RB?

Nope. No sympathy whatsoever for Trent from us Liverpool fans. When Jurgen decided to leave, he told us all in advance. We were shocked, but we respected his decision and gave him a Scouser's Farewell. Trent on the other hand, has kept this dead horse going for far too long and STILL won't say anything public. At least Mo was saying after the Southampton game in December that he wants to stay, and Virg was happy to answer questions about his contract situation before it got sorted. Trent is refusing to take more money from us and he made his bed a long time ago, so he's gone as far as I'm concerned. No Scouser's Farewell from us.

it sucks that trent could be leaving, but what's frustrating is how trent has gone about it, and he said he wants to win Balon D'or, but at RB, it aint happening, and trents defending is not good and sometimes doesnt even track back to help his CB
