Joe Scally continues to perform for Gladbach in Bundesliga, but there are still people questioning whether he should be called in for the September friendlies. Apparently club form doesn’t mean you’ll succeed for the Nats.

Yunus Musah started for Valencia in an Ambien driven snoozefest. He had his moments, but perhaps we were desensitized by the Leeds performance just before the match

Derek and Brett continue our conversation about the performances put forth by our Yanks Abroad.

  1. Here come the Joe Scally excuses. I think Scally is fine, but the mental gymnastics about Scally are crazy. Who cares? Scally doesn’t matter.

  2. I can run a 5k after watching a Leeds game. They get me so amped up. Maybe it’s because of the Americans, but Jesse’s style of play is so exciting. Hopefully exciting translates to winning long term.

  3. I love how you start with "we're pretty shitfaced, but we're professionals" and then dive headlong into a yelling match about midwest pizza chains. Tootsie rolls with pizza?! Think of what the Italians thought of Weston!

  4. Everyone caught the magic from Liecester that year. Their entire squad that season cost less than individual players from "top 4 clubs". It was beautiful.

  5. Dest wont see the field for the rest of the year, will gregg play him or even select him for qatar? if yes, then we got more hypocrisy from gregg; he shots down all questions about non calling specific players by saying; "he must start or play at his club if he wanna be part of the usmnt"

  6. Nobody ever talks about Reynolds, if he could ever break through at the club level and get some consistent pt his ceiling is as high as any rb in the pool.

  7. "Hot Box" has to be the absolute worst name for a pizza joint. I guess it tastes like a "Hot Box" (not the cardboard, the farts or the pot)…the pot would actually be OK.

  8. I with the US Jerseys had a common theme to them. They all look very different, which produces a fan base looking like they support different teams.
