gary seemed to care when micah said he was better than him, but then again that is crossing the line
Also Gary never knocked someone up and ran off to Italy 😂
Roy Keane – "Phil had more talent than you, but you worked a little bit harder" slaughtered
Gary is underselling himself. He was one of the best full-backs in the world during his time. Moreover, he had to make a complete 180° turn in the middle of his career and fundamentally change his playing style. He initially played alongside Beckham, where he was responsible for offensive runs in a symbiotic relationship. Then, with Beckham's departure and the signing of Ronaldo, he suddenly had to take on many more defensive responsibilities and had to be cautious behind a more young flamboyant dribbler.
Gary has more medals than the rest
Gary doesn't need to hide against almost any right-back. He was one of the best in his time, period. I see Cafu, Philipp Lahm, and Dani Alves ahead of him, but right after them comes Zanetti, Gary Neville , Thuram, and so on. (In this Time of Gary's career).
Gary it's you all day bud
Walker is clear by far
Neville was underrated at the time and slowly getting overrated as time goes on.
He's obviously a quality player but I watched him week in week out, he wasn't that special (as purely a footballer) saying that, for the career he's had, the longevity and consistency, he is arguably the best in PL history but if I had a one off game, with both at their peak, I'm picking Walker for his ability and physical attributes.
Gary better everyday of the week. Walker great player though.
So under appreciated. Gary Neville plays himself down so much people believe it. He was incredible! Walker has been great too by the way, but don't get it twisted. Gary was world class.
agreed, Gary any day of the week over Walker.
