It is clearly that Upermercano touched the ball in his hand right before the ball was landed in Mbappe’s legs to shoot it on Montiel.

There’s was a handball prior to the handball leading to France’s 2nd penalty, what I find interesting is that the 1st handball wasn’t called! That would have prevented (overruled) 2nd penalty!
Great explanation! But I think you did not explain the Lautaro Martinez onside properly. You should only consider the armpit for the offside, not the hand. According to the rule: "The offside rule only applies to parts of the body that you are legally allowed to make contact with the ball. The only two body parts that cannot legally play the ball are your hands and arms."

Red card for Otamendi was forgotten after the first penalty for France because he was last defender.
The simulation against Marcus Thuram was not a good call as well, especially when you give a first penalty to Di Maria for a really soft fault. The Referee should have given another penalty there or gave a yellow card to Di Maria for simulation in the first place. The most important thing for a referee is to stay coherent with his decisions, and thats not what he did there, his explaination about Fernandez moving his leg on the last second being pure bullshit. Indeed thats because of this move that Thuram fall, even if he is totally trying to not avoid Fernandez (as Di Maria in the first place)
To conclude, Argentina always had referees on their side during this competition, and that was really helpfull (especially against Netherland).
But on this game, even if some decision were in Argentina favor, they totally desderved their victory as they were definetly better than France.
There was a hand by a france player before the referee called a penalty for montiel's hand.

So, Di Maria penalty was a penalty, despite the fact that the contact was very little and he intentionally dived… but the others were not, because the contact was very little and they intentionally dived ? 🤔
Di Maria penalty was never a penalty, he fall after without any contact.
Also the touch does matter, if the touch isn't enough to to take you down or stop you, then it can't be a foul or penalty.
Dimaria made 2 steps after this touch, and then he fall by himself.
