Hello everyone and welcome back to Inside Arsenal.

In today’s show I discuss Kai Havertz amid suggestions from David Ornstein that he could be on track to potentially play again before the end of the season. I also look at what Edu has had to say following the end of his gardening leave period at Arsenal and look ahead to Saturday’s game against Brentford.

  1. Imagine Kai Havertz comes back and grabs us the winning goal of the Champions league. Oh my days, the limbs and the tears of rivals would be immense.

  2. If kai comes back in the same timescale as saka he should be back on the 16th may, 2 weeks to get ready for a potential final 😉, im sure kai will not see his come back at that potential time as pointless

  3. What about new contract for thomas partey charles? He surely deserves it? Another year with partey makes alot of sense if we are letting jorginho go. Too much change wont be good for the team.

  4. Hi Charles, coming over from Ireland for the Brentford match for the first time since I was 15 (the stinky 1-0 against stoke from a podolski deflected free kick in 2013). Everyone talking about how it’s hard to get up for this match but I couldn’t be more buzzing!! can’t wait to soak up the post Madrid glow at the emirates tomorrow! COYG

  5. I don't understand the fear of playing Premier League teams in the pre-season. We played Chelsea and Manchester United in America and nothing happened. Who cares man, let the fans who wake up at 03:00 to watch games enjoy a North London Derby.

  6. Hi Charles,
I’m worried about losing Thomas Partey in the summer. It’s a real shame that just as he’s finally gained some consistency and durability (ironically seeing as everyone else is getting injured now) he’ll be leaving at the end of the year. I’m concerned that Zubimendi will be a downgrade on him initially as it’ll take him a while to adjust to the physicality of the prem. If given the option, would you extend his contract for 1/2 years?

  7. Hi Charles. I know we all just want the season to end based on what has happened in the league, and the meek way we exited both domestic cup competitions, but if we were to finish 2nd (again!), but get to the Semis of the Champions League or, dare we hope, the final, would you consider this season progress? Effectively, we would have stood still in the league due to poor summer recruitment and an horrific injury list, but massively improved our form in Europe. Or would we have to actually win the Champions League to turn this from a forgettable season into a memorable and successful one in your opinion?

  8. If kai had merinos finishing or merino had kais pace we would have the perfect striker.
In an alternative universe, we don’t get the injuries we had and merino goes down as a club legend coming ff the bench to get winners in the run in and we win the league. David platt goal Vs United kind of goals

  9. Charles Arsenal need to stop the practice of letting top important experienced players leave, last time it it was Xhaka and this time it’s going to be Partey. The Partey must continue. Do you have any idea if there is any plan to extend his contract?

  10. Dear Charles as a full time youtuber and the only source for sensible valid info about the Arsenal you simply cannot be away on anything that stops you posting content. You have a responsibility to the fans that is only second to that you have for your family.

  11. Very interesting development with KSE’s NBA Denver Nuggets this week. Josh Kroenke has fired the coach (Michael Malone) and the General Manager (Calvin Booth) just one week before the playoffs start.

Malone has the most wins of any Nuggets coach, he’s been a key contributor to developing Nikola Jokic into the best player in the world and, most importantly, he won them the NBA Title just two years ago.

All of the reporting is that there was a power struggle between the coach and the GM (Malone prioritised playing veterans and Booth wanted him to play the young draft picks) and Josh got fed up with it and decided to get rid of them both.

I’ve always had the impression that Mikel’s incredibly powerful at our club, basically has the run of the place. And a massive character like Berta surely wouldn’t of taken the job if he didn’t have certain assurances about his role. But what this shows is that, make no mistake, the Kroenke’s are in charge of their teams and they aren’t afraid to make big decisions…even if they could prove unpopular with the fan base. Hope we don’t have a similar situation in the future but no one has a crystal ball.

  12. Hey Charles, I’m not sure if I’d be the only one or not to have this opinion, but starting Jorginho against Madrid in the second leg seems to be the smart play. His calming presence on the pitch seems to be just what’s needed in game like this. Especially for the moment when Madrid potentially pulls one back on us.

  13. Hey Charles. Interesting transfer links regarding Dean Huijsen. Obviously he is very talented and young, has a reasonable release clause around 50m. Surely, all the top clubs will be in the race for him. Surprised that Arsenal are also in the mix because I can't see anyway how Huijsen is going to fit into this squad. Does this have something to do with Tomiyasu's future? Next season we might be without Zinchenko,Tomiyasu(injury),Kiwior and Tierney at the start of the season and we surely need a defensive reinforcement. I would love Huijsen if he agrees to be a squad player and play second fiddle to Gabriel and Saliba. But, I can't imagine him doing that as he is one of the hottest property in Europe right now.

  14. I'm probably missing something here and apologies if so but: wouldn't you be better off recording the video offline then upload it afterwards? the drops in connection should just slow down the upload that way rather than effecting the quality of the video?

That said, hope your having a decent holiday and can keep yourself away from work!
