  1. this was the type of match where Arsenal would have like 70% possession and 1 shot on target all game whilst also coming away with a 1-1 draw or 1-0 defeat. Surprisingly it went completely different, less possession (54%) and more shots on target (5) whilst scoring 2 goals

  2. Recall how Nuno and Amorim celebrated a draw with Arsenal? With Saka back, mid-blocks will no longer be effective, and we will break them. Martinelli running and baiting fouls, Saka, Martin will be back to his best. Partey also had a great game. It's telling when he moved to RB, we lost control in midfield and looked like we might be overrun.

  3. The buildup to that assist (and the assist itself) was right out of the 22/23 playbook. Vintage Saka/Martinelli. These guys (with Odegaard and Jesus) used to be feared on the counter. Good stuff.

  4. There was a point where martinelli beat the same defender like 6 times before he actually crossed the ball. It looked like he was just having fun

  5. Nico is a good signing, but he rarely defends and in England as good as you are going forward, you have to double on that to protect your end of the field. That's where I am not too sold on Nico 100%

  6. This was a vintage Martinelli performance. I would love to see him continue to play this way and make this his standard. Castagne could not hang yesterday. COYG
