He’s been there for 20 years. I suppose he had a gun to his head when he signed his first contract and the lucrative extensions thereafter. Yes he’s been a good player for the club, but the club gave him his chance and put him in the position he is now. He should’ve been tied down to a contract 2 years ago with the option of the club extending his deal so he doesn’t screw them. That’s the main issue. Same goes for Salah and VVD.

Give Trent a break, he has been 20 years at the same club or 26 at the same City, deserves a new experience/challenge. Let's put things into perspective, moving to Madrid: Better City, great food, better sunny weather, bigger club, big house with swimming pool, better contract, more sponsorships, new culture, playing and training next to Mbappé, Vini, Rodrygo, and best mate Jude Bellingham! You have to be mad to give all that up for this so called legacy. 😅 This move is great for Liverpool academy, the youngsters will be motivated of the career potential.
