‘That’s the best way to shut people up’ – why Rashford can do ‘special things’ at Villa | BBC Sport

Big up Rashy ✔️
Here we go again. 🙄 Goals after 11 games against a Championship side & the reactionaries are off again. Typical that he's apparently "slowly getting better". Basically excusing away mediocre performances up to now. Always the same excuses for Rashford, gets on my nerves. The people who say there's an agenda against Rashford are the same people who have overhyped him for years, made rubbish excuses for when he's been poor then go overboard when he's good. Ironic asf. Was a matter of months back that we heard all this after Sancho's first couple of games at Chelsea that apparently he looks like a new player blah blah blah. It aged like milk. 🥱 Bored of the amount of times football fans & pundits get so easily carried away then it leads nowhere. Like a repeating cycle where they never learn from previous examples. Rashford has had positive spells at United, it's not like he was always bad, he'll be no different at Villa or anywhere else he goes where he's up & down, I bet he'll win nothing either even though he won things at United.
Spent about 75% of the post match analysis talking about Rashford
Id rather Arsenio takes pens! I never those stutter runs ups; u look stupid if you miss and it can have a huge uplift for opposing teams thinking its their day! Give me a straight solid clinical left foot shot from Arsenio anyday, he has more experience of big game pressure and is more level headed and calm! Ok its only Preston at 2-0 up and in complete control, but i don't want Rashford on a pen V PSG in Champs League Quatery Final against a top keeper!! If he misses his head might go down! Arsenio has something to prove to PSG and is a big game player! Rashford is still trying to get back to his best….. he's more confident…..against Preston, but I hope his EGO doesn't grab for a pen V PSG! Personally, I think Unai will put Arsenio on pens in the BIG two PSG games! I would!🤔
coz hes not playing for united, all of a sudden playing well against preston will be praised, good for him but he will never be good enough for man utd.
It's probably helped Marcus Rashford getting away from Manchester United with such an expectation of winning everything because of the past glory days which are used as a bench mark for all the versions of United teams since the fergie era & when like the present time it's far from anything glorious & still United are way more highlighted good or bad than most others & the daily pressure of that kind of environment seems to be chewing up and spitting out good players/managers alike & maybe because Marcus Rashford is w home grown product of the United academy more was always expected from him & at times he seemed to be a scapegoat to blame for everything negative happening at United & the same people who used to big him up were very quick to put him down & every time he'd loose the ball a collective grown would echo around Old Trafford probably didn't help with his confidence which all players need to perform at their best,a positive environment at Aston Villa working under an elite manager like Unai Emery & playing in a system that suits Marcus with a much more patient fan base which is definitely the case at Villa has probably been a big factor in Rashfords upturn in form recently & as none of us have had to walk in Marcus Rashfords shoes we'll never know what it feels like & how much it would effect us,but maybe it shows that its never too late to change things for the better, good luck to him. 😊
"the team have to play to your strengths"… Unbelievable. The constant noise around Rashford throughout last season and this season too, about his inability to perform ALL his duties in the team, and suddenly its because United weren't playing to his strengths? He's allergic to defensive duties.
Amorim dropped both Garna and Rashy, one player took heed and worked his socks off to get back in the team, even adjusted the way he played to do so. The latter came out and said he "is looking forward to a new challenge". Hardly "shutting the critics up" is it?
I dont know many United fans that don't want him to do well, he's a great player on his day, but he needs to leave United for his own good. I hope he finds his form, enjoys his game again, but I dont expect it to happen in a United shirt.
Micah Richards has got to be the worst pundit in Football history
Found his level. Happy for him. Not world class but can roll over Preston
Barnsley in The League Cup, Preston in The FA Cup, 10-man-Bruge, Latvia… I could go on.
I wonder if people can work out why Rashford wasn't terrible against these sides, having been terrible against just about everybody else for many years!
I'll give you some help:
The answer is either:
A – Like all professional footballers, Rashford is able to do well at a certain level and his level is average sides in The Championship and League One, poor European sides and terrible international sides.
B – He's proving that he is a world-class footballer.
The media will tell you the answer is "B" but, believe me, it isn't!
One goal doesn't make him a legend….his attitude is questionable.
Anyone can be a pundit. 😅😅😅just talk rubbish.
Lets see how he goes – Jesse Lingard had a great loan move at West ham ….
Micah Richards was trash at football
I don't like those penalties either. Looks ridiculous when it fails. If you faint one corner and smash it hard and high opposite they never catch it. Or hard down low all the way in the corner.
If scoring for Aston Villa was the way to prove the pundit agenda that Manchester United are the problem, Marcus Rashford is world class and ‘shut people up’. Rashford has more goals for United under Amorim than at Villa 🤔
Joe Hart is amazing in this role. He sees the game from a totally unique perspective and often gives great analysis that is differing, yet very correct and thought provoking. Credit to him
Big up Rashford up the Villa everytime
A tap in and a pen vs Preston
Let's see if he can score two goals against a premium league team for the remainder of the season. I highly doubt he can. Praising a guy for scoring goals against a championship team. Wonder why he couldn't do it at utd when he earns 400k+ each week.
The best way to shut people is to perform against championship team?? 😂😂😂😂
What a load of absolute rubbish. Nonsense. Total Nonsense. Why are you defending his behaviour at United by giving credence to this " pretend " surge in energy and " form " magically reappearing?? The manager at United would of had belief in him if he had:
1 done as he was told.
2 put effort in.
3 acted like a senior player.
4 embraced the new managers principles.
5 not tried to rebel against the new managers obvious remit and authority.
6 gave his all, on the training pitch and in matches.
You lot. Doing this. Are just going to keep encouraging this type of behaviour from players like rashford who think they are bigger than a club. Who let their ego drive their decision making.
You lot. Should be ashamed .. not only for promoting his pretend resurgence in form. But for knowing full well as I do.. that it's all fake. You know what he did at United. And you know full well why they got rid of him. So I know.. for an actual fact. That you're choosing to ignore it all and push this rubbish onto those who aren't smart enough to see it, to try and further Rashfords con.
You're implicit. It's a disgrace and it's a disgrace that Thomas Tuchel has called him up for the national squad.
What. An. Awful. Lesson. To. Give. The. Youth. Of. Today.
