Chelsea’s Top 10 Goalscorers of All Time
Over the years, Chelsea have had some legendary goalscorers, but who are the all-time greats? Here’s a countdown of the club’s top ten marksmen.
10. George Hilsdon – 108 goals
The first Chelsea player to score 100 goals, Hilsdon was a deadly striker in the early 1900s. His legacy lives on, with “Hilsdon’s weather vane” still perched atop Stamford Bridge.
9. Eden Hazard – 110 goals
A magician on the ball, Hazard may not have been an out-and-out striker, but his dazzling dribbles and clutch goals made him one of Chelsea’s finest attackers.
8. George Mills – 125 goals
A pre-war hero, Mills was Chelsea’s go-to goalscorer in the 1920s and 30s, leaving a lasting impact on the club’s history.
7. Jimmy Greaves – 132 goals
Greaves was simply unstoppable. Despite leaving Chelsea at just 21, he still racked up 132 goals, a tally that could’ve been much higher had he stayed.
6. Peter Osgood – 150 goals
The “King of Stamford Bridge” had the flair and finesse to match his goal tally, scoring in every round of Chelsea’s victorious 1970 FA Cup run.
5. Roy Bentley – 150 goals
A key figure in Chelsea’s first league title win in 1955, Bentley captained the side while banging in the goals with ease.
4. Didier Drogba – 164 goals
Chelsea’s ultimate big-game player. Whether it was Premier League classics or Champions League finals, Drogba always delivered when it mattered most.
3. Kerry Dixon – 193 goals
Dixon carried Chelsea through the 1980s, scoring almost at will and ensuring the club remained competitive during some turbulent years.
2. Bobby Tambling – 202 goals
For decades, Tambling was Chelsea’s all-time top scorer, lighting up Stamford Bridge in the 1960s with his clinical finishing.
1. Frank Lampard – 211 goals
A midfielder as Chelsea’s greatest-ever goalscorer? Absolutely. Lampard’s ability to arrive late in the box, coupled with his pinpoint accuracy, saw him rewrite history.
