The AWFUL Interview that Ended Aaron Ramsdale’s Time at Arsenal…

  1. Rambo is a good keeper, I hate how Arsenal treated him and how he left (even though I think in the end it was the right decision to get Raya).

He just needs to find stability again and he’ll get his career back on track. If Bournemouth keep going under Iraola then he could go back there with Kepa going back to Chelsea. Newcastle is an option too as they are looking for a keeper and looking at Trafford.

  2. I mean their great push for the title in 2022/23 coincided with his great performance and year after that also they were good with him as 2nd choice in 2nd half of season but the damage was done earlier. And this season we know how they bottled every chance of overtaking Liverpool.I don't know what it is Ramsdale curse or what

  3. Thr trouble with England is that after all these years – we still don't have a top quality keeper.

The rest of the team has quality in every position……but when it comes to the keeper…. ahem…. exactly! … it's a different story.

Pickford's near 'unchallenged' reign as England's no.1 keeper, for the best part of a decade, is a damning indictment on the standard of goalkeeping in this country. And what has Pickford won in his career? …diddly squat. Nada. Zilch. Zero. Hes bern unchallenged on a long term basis, because the quality just isn't there. We severely lack strength in depth, when it comes to keepers.

Until England sort this problem out and we have a top keeper – we will continue to fall short at tournaments. Having a top notch keeper is everything. It's the difference between winning a tournament….and getting knocked out on penalties in the quarters or semis.

Sorry to say this, but we won't win the World Cup next year. I really want us to, but deep down I know that so long as we have the likes of Pickford and Ramsdale to choose from (why do Pope and Butland continually get overlooked??? – it's crazy) then we aint winning anything. Even Kane's goals won't be enough. Pope and Butland SHOULD be the main two England keepers – not Pickford and Ramsdale. Why more people cannot see this is beyond me. It's wild. But there you go.

I doubt Argentina would have won the World Cup, had they not had Martinez in goal. The role Messi played certainly helped them achieve what they achieved, but it was still too exaggerated imo. He wasn't pivotal, in the way that Martinez was.

There's a reason why Pickford plays for a mid table team – because he's not a top notch keeper. Nowhere near as good as keepers like Martinez, Allison, or Raya. And as for Ramsdale, well him being Southampton's keeper says it all.

It's the only position that continues to haunt England…and has done so for years. It's their 'weak link'. If they can overcome this problem, while maintaining quality in all the other positions – then that is when we will finally lift a trophy again. It might be within the next five years…..or not for another twenty. But this is what the F.A should be trying to focus on. Not finding the next Kane, or Henderson.

Football is not all about strikers and goals. We English need to see this point of view more. Having a solid defence, and a reliable top notch keeper are what win you trophies…..whether a club, or a National side. Believing otherwise is just being delusional.

  4. It didn’t have anything to do with the interview it was because he made clinical errors on the pitch and Arteta wanted a ball playing keeper like Ederson or Alisson and that’s why he bought Raya because his distribution was much better

  5. 3 relegations but still makes more money with Southampton than most people do in a year, in one single week.

OH I feel so bad for him right now I think I’m getting second hand sounds on the worlds smallest violin

  6. It is a bit mad. When you’re a keeper at a club where the team dominates the ball most of the time, you HAVE to be switched on for 90 mins. And it’s not just him saying it, it’s the fact that we can see it in multiple times and it’s cost us. So maybe not just him saying it but the evidences with the statement are damning.

  7. He lapsed in concentration letting in a few goals, to then admit to this in an interview regarding his lapse in concentration, which at the same time was a dire lapse in concentration confirming this. What an idiot
