As a Liverpool fan it hurts me that the biggest beneficiaries from all this is FSG. Fans are targeting Trent rightly so but forgetting that FSG as well had a role to play in bringing this whole thing to where it is now.
In fact , the player is saddened by the way some fans are treating his departure, especially those who accuse him of not leaving any transfer money.
It's the fact he has dragged this whole saga out for months on end. If he had been honest and up front then most Liverpool fans will be fine with him moving on. But he hasn't he has dragged it out, we have not known if he is staying or going! It's the not knowing for months on end that has annoyed fans. We can accept what ever decision he makes! But he has been silent and cowardly hiding away running his contract down, even now he hasn't actually come out and said anything. In my opinion he is just delaying saying anything til as close to the end of the season as possible for his own benefit and doesn't really care about the Liverpool fans he just wants to string us along for as long as possible.
He will tear it up in La Liga, another Galactico added to list 🔥
The issue isn't Trent leaving, the issue is the 2 years of talking to Madrid behind the scenes, its keeping Liverpool in limbo and preventing the club from building for the future, its saying 'this means more' and all that when it apparently doesnt that much. Yes Trent has every right to decide his own career, but Liverpool fans are very understandably pissed about the way he made his exit.

Seriously but my fellow Liverpool fans are a bit pathetic on this issue. You are simply being angry with the wrong person (s).
Trent cost nothing other than development time and money and he has given us millions in performances. If we are angry about him leaving on a free … then the corporate management are to blame for not getting him to sign a new deal or preparing a longer contract so that we could be selling him at this point. I understand the disappointment (I am deeply disappointed myself) but that is not Trents fault. We messed him around a few years back with a contract and now expect him to give up a once in a life time opportunity to secure his future. If he broke his leg tomorrow … his career could be gone with one injury so Trent has to take his opportunities when they arrive and Liverpool have obviously not acted in a way that he feels best serve his future.
You know who is really to blame – so stop moaning and leaking crocodile tears. Just pucker up and thank him for his service and wish him well.
