Thereās many examples of clubs that have moved to a modern stadium and continued their success/retained their club atmosphere. Bayern Munich (Allianz Arena), Atletico Madrid (Metropolitano), Juventus (Juventus Stadium) etc.

Because McKola is a bit off at times. Saying Mazroui was an excellent signing and the best signing of the season. Not much competition there, but heās a decent squad player, thatās it. And itās the same with De Ligt. And Zirkzee, yeah, heās alright, and he can pull some tricks, but heās not anywhere near the Dutch National Team – not even in the squad. Is that the ambition?? Get some heart and do some criticism, United is 13th in the league!
I understand why you want to back the players we have already, but allowing for criticism at times of them is important. Especially when youāre 13th in the league!
De Ligt was made captain at Ajax at 18 by Ten Hag, because the team was struggling and everyone was moaning. De Ligt then gave a harsh addressing in the changing room and Ten Hag made him captain of the team because of that. Not his proven ability, as he was only 18.
De Ligt is a good defender, Iāll grant you. But heās not world class and he will never be world class. And his physique is odd. Look at his physique at Bayern and look at him now. His upper body physique is strange.
If he is a natural born leader and soon to be world class defender as people on here say, then why is he on the bench for the Dutch National Team behind van Hecke of Brighton who is younger than him?
Because De Ligt is just alright. But we wonāt any titles with him in a back three where heās the captain and the best of those three.
SAF said that centre backs win you leagues. Thatās true, and we wonāt win any with De Ligt. He can gave good and great games at times and he can make terrible blunders like that penalty against Sociedad.
Keep him around as a squad player, but keep searching for world class talent, which he is not. Someone like Dean Huijsen of Bournemouth at 19. Heās an amazing defender and playing already first team football for Spain. He will be world class, but heās not gonna wanna join United, heāll go to Barcelona probably.
But thatās the kind calibre you need to win the league in 3-5 years.
